Building a Better World: COTP 2018 Highlights

A better world is within reach, if we all do our part.

Teleperformance remains relentless in showing our commitment to the world we live in through Citizen of the Planet (COTP). COTP acts globally, and spreads its message to encourage our people to build a better world through activities and programs that promote environmental awareness. Its initiatives and collaborative campaigns push for smarter use of resources, and promote a lifestyle that encourages reduced energy, water, and paper consumption.

In 2018, Teleperformance’s total measured carbon emissions were 160,319 tons with a carbon footprint of 0.712 tons per employee, a reduction of -8% from 2017. Globally, our COTP activities, events, and local campaigns allowed our people to do their share in protecting the planet. United under one goal of making this world a better place, our Teleperformance sites had their fill of contributing greatly. A few highlights from last year: Teleperformance in Albania teamed up with Ecovolis to plant pine trees during Earth Day. Employees also banded with the local community to do a beach clean-up in Kepi Rodonit. Volunteers from Teleperformance in Colombia also had their own tree-planting activity, this time in the mountainous area of Serranía del Majuy. Donations were collected at Teleperformance in El Salvador to aid Fundación Coatepeque, an organization that helps preserve the Coatepeque basin and protect the environment in the area. Our colleagues from Teleperformance in Romania participated in the World Cleanup Day activity organized by Let’s Do It, Romania!, which aimed to clean up the green areas around the city.

We are proud and grateful to be in the company of people who support our COTP initiatives and activities. Our people’s participation and commitment to a better Earth inspires us to continue our mission to build a better world for us, and for the many generations to come.
